Glorup is a plan for restoring and
continuing the garden of Glorup Manor House.
A full inventory of 4000 trees in the garden were assessed and registered with their timespan, condition and renewal stage.
Linden trees planted in 1743 and with a few exceptions are still found across the site. Some that were in a bad condition changed the restoration for the garden for the coming 380 years.
The renewed two allées are the
biggest in Denmark. They have finally being given the analysis to partially renew them through the infill of trees over time.
After many years, the allées will come up and have an age of 150 years.
Each generation of the Manor House will have things they can do for the continuity of the garden.
The project was executed by the Minister for Environment and has become a precedent for other gardens in their restoration effort.
