A new redevelopment area has been allocated in the south of Amman. JAAA were successful in winning 50 ha of park area to facilitate this new development. The main components of the masterplan aim to link the large area with a main folded axis which filters off into different gardens and levels within the park. Connectivity, flow, and a variety of space and function allow the melding of landscape, infrastructure and technology. Folded planes stitch the parks extremities and draw the visitor to the central public space and through the parks string of garden jewels. Versatile space allows for the transposition from recreational to cultural events. With designed facilities for cinema screens and stages the park is up to date with modern technologies.
