"Herning Square, a space both large and small, intimate and open, where the proportions conform with the town´s oldest buildings, the parish church, the Christian community chapel and the hotel".
The square is paved with two tones of granite stripes, that change colour in the rain. As soon as these pavers dry off, their character changes again. Lighting is very important. At 5 o´clock pm on a winter´s day a lighting pattern emerges, completely different than the one in summer. Lamps are fitted with colour filters,so that at dusk a red shade shimmers against the blue night sky.
