In Mälev JAAA has two projects; Neurosearch and LUXO. They are connected by a small meadow that is grazed by Sheep. Perhaps the scientists placed the sheep here to show that the genetic research being undertaken on the site was not influencing its surroundings. The pass between the two projects needed to be lit up in the night. To prevent spoiling the beautiful night, JAAA suggested that the sheep should be fitted with a head lamp (originally designed for horses). At each entrance into the field there was a small basket with food for the Sheep. Visitors could take a handful as they passed through the gate so that they would be followed by the hungry sheep, lighting up the way as they went. The project was never realised because of concerns from the municipality.
